That Bunny Is Not For Science
Would you rather be involved in a test where you had to inhale toxic fumes or be injected with a cancer inducing substance? A test where you were restrained while chemicals were placed into your eyes or in a patch of shaved skin? Fortunately, people will never have to choose between these things. In fact, we are lucky to have the ability to choose at all. But unlike us, animals do not have this ability. Just like us, animals are living, thinking, and feeling creatures. They sit in pain as they wait for the next excruciatingly painful test to be performed on them. According to People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), over 100 million animals die in the U.S. because of cruel cosmetic, drug, chemical, or food tests by different companies. Some that test their products on animals are: L'Oréal, Head and Shoulders, Estée Lauder , and Pantene. Furthermore, PETA states that some of these animals are domesticated e.g. dogs, cats, guinea pigs...
